Choosing lighting for your bathroom is fairly straightforward but you may be after something a little out the ordinary to really spice up your home. All too often because we are not sure what lighting to choose we go for the standard and boring choices especially when it comes to bathroom lighting. By following some simple guidelines and rules you can go for a more out there look whilst still keeping your bathroom practical and stylish.

 

The great thing about bathroom lighting is that almost any kind of lighting works and looks great because of the space. Many mirrors are placed in bathrooms which look great with lighting because it reflects the light and the space making the room look bigger. Mirrored lights are a great option to go for but why not opt for wall sconces surrounding the mirror, this way you can make more of a feature of it on your wall and you get the same effect. Floor lighting is perfect for bathrooms because it already has the modern and contemporary vibe to it with the mirrors and tiles and so adding floor bathroom lighting works in sync with this. The floor lighting is a great source of light, and if you include a couple of green plants and trees you will truly bring the bathroom to life. 

 

Try and include a water feature to your bathroom with a light included. Some kind of water and light fixture make for great features for bathroom lighting as they give a clean and pure atmosphere. The reflection of the light in the water also gives the illusion of more space.
