Many homes and places of business have ceiling fans today and not surprisingly they have a great use of either keeping your home cool in the summer months or distributing the hot air in the winter months. There are many different styles and designs of
ceiling fans today due to their popularity. One style of ceiling fan that has recently become a huge hit are hugger ceiling fans. Hugger ceiling fans are designed for low level ceilings and ‘hug’ the ceiling and so even if you have a low ceiling you can still enjoy the benefits of ceiling fans. If a ceiling is less than seven feet high then hugger ceiling fans are installed oppose to the regular type of ceiling fan. Hugger ceiling fans were created because normal fans placed on a ceiling lower than 7 feet can be dangerous and cause injury.
You can notice the difference between a standard ceiling fan and a hugger ceiling fan because a standard fan has a rod connecting the fixture to the ceiling whereas the hugger ceiling fans do not have this rod because they are flush to the ceiling. Having the fan flush to the ceiling means the paddles aren’t as low which doesn’t take up as much space of the room which is perfect for low ceilings. Hugger
ceilings fans are also called low profile ceiling fans they are exactly the same product just a different term for them. Again the name low profile describes the fact that these
ceiling fans stand out less because they are close to the ceiling and hence the term low profile.
