Choosing You Homes Light Switches
Choosing the light switches for your home can sometimes be a little tricky due to the vast amount of options on the market today. Choosing the right light switch for your home and your homes décor can make a massive different to the overall look of your rooms. When choosing your light switches you need to think about the style of the light switch, the material / finish, and the switch.
To start your search begin by thinking about what style of light switches would fit in your home based on the style you already have. For example if your home is very modern and contemporary in which case a more modern style light switch would be better suited, if your home is a cottage or has a more country vibe to it then you may want to go for a more traditional design. Think about lines, do you have lost of straight lines in your home or is it more circular and soft? Thinking about these small details will ensure you choose the perfect light switch style for you home.
The next step is to consider the material and finish. You can choose between chrome, brass, standard white, black, or coloured. Chrome is usually associated with modern day properties, brass is more traditional, white is the most popular as it fades into the background of the wall, and black and coloured light switches are more for designer homes or for childrens bedrooms.
Finally you can decide what type of switch you want your light switches to have such as toggle, push button, rocker, dual buttons, pull cord, dimmer switch, or electric switches. Each style of switch has a different affect on the look of the light switch as a whole, for example a toggle on light switches makes it appear more funky and chic, a rocker switch is more detailed than a standard button, and a pull chord is more traditional.
